Documentation and Modeling

What is “modeling”?  A model is a definition of a set of defined entities, relationships and properties.  By itself, that sounds very straightforward.  A drawing can also list a set of entities, relationships and properties.  However, when we use a modeling tool, we can easily create multiple views (drawings) of those entities, relationships and properties.  Ossia defines project requirements and, in some cases, implementations using state-of-the-art modeling tools.  By creating and maintaining a model, we enable all project stakeholders to view project information in the most meaningful way, given the task at hand.  It also provides an invaluable reference for the project.

“Just Enough” Documentation

When we document a project, we will only document just enough to ensure all teams and resources are communicating accurately and efficiently.  We do not create documentation for documentation’s sake.
